Choosing a Realtor is a bit like choosing a doctor. You want someone who knows your situation, tells you the truth and picks up the phone. Sun City Grand adds one more thing to get right. It is an age restricted community for adults 55 and older, with its own association, its own fees, golf and clubs, so a good agent here needs local knowledge as well as sales skills. Below are five agents who work in the community, then a plain guide to comparing them. Please read the notice near the end, because it explains what this list is and what it is not.
Five Realtors who work in Sun City Grand
Deah is first because this is her website, and we would rather say that up front than hide it. The other four come from HomeLight's Sun City Grand list, in the order HomeLight shows them. For those four we only repeat what their public profiles show.
1. Deah Hendriksz
Realty ONE Group
- Licensed since 2016
- 5.0 on Google, Zillow and Realtor.com
- Lives in Sun City Grand
Deah lives in Sun City Grand, so the golf courses, fitness centers and streets are her own neighborhood. She has held an Arizona real estate license since March 2016. Her Zillow profile showed 174 career sales as of October 21, 2026, 31 of them in the last 12 months, with homes sold from about $150,000 to $1.5 million.
She works with buyers and sellers, including people who live in another state, with live video tours, remote closings and remote sale management. Before you tour or list she explains the HOA, the CC&Rs and the fees, and after closing she stays in touch with local recommendations. Her guides for buyers, sellers and new construction are free, and so is a consultation. She is available 7 am to 7 pm every day. Learn more on her About page or see her current listings.

Source for agents 2 to 5, their public HomeLight profiles and HomeLight's Sun City Grand list, viewed October 26, 2026. Ratings, review counts, years of experience, specialties and areas are as shown there and are not verified by us. They describe each agent's work in all areas, not only Sun City Grand. We left out the sales totals shown on those profiles, because we cannot tell whether a total belongs to one agent or to a team, and platforms count sales in different ways.

What to look for in a Sun City Grand Realtor
Ratings and rankings are a starting point, nothing more. What helps you most is an agent who understands this particular community and works the way you like to work. Four things are worth testing.
They know Sun City Grand itself
A good local agent can explain how the association works, what the annual assessment covers and how it is billed, and how the recreation facilities and golf options differ. The Grand lists an annual assessment of $1,976 for July 2026 to June 2027, about $165 a month, and our guide to the HOA fees for Sun City Grand explains what that means in a monthly budget. The community also has age rules, so an agent should be able to explain who can live in a home. See the average age in Sun City Grand for what we know.
They have done your kind of sale
Buying, selling, buying and selling in the same move, and relocating from out of state are four different jobs. Ask for examples that match your situation, and ask how many of the agent's sales were in Sun City Grand rather than the wider Phoenix area. A long record is useful, and so is a recent one, because the market changes.
They communicate the way you like
Some people want a text every day and others want one call a week. Ask how the agent prefers to communicate, how fast you can expect a reply, and who you will deal with day to day, the agent or a team member. This matters most if you are out of state during the sale.
They put the terms in writing
Commission is not set by law in Arizona and is negotiable. Ask for the fee in writing before you sign anything, and read any buyer or listing agreement closely. Our guide to Realtor commission in Sun City Grand explains how it works.
How to check an agent before you hire
Anyone can say they are a great agent. These six checks tell you more than a ranking can. Do them for any agent you are thinking of hiring, including the ones on this page.
Check the license
Every Arizona agent has to be licensed by the Arizona Department of Real Estate, and the Department keeps a free public database you can search by name. The record shows whether the license is active, when it was first issued and when it expires, and it lists the brokerage the agent works under and the name of the designated broker. Match the name and license number to what the agent has given you. If you cannot find the agent, or the status is not active, ask why before you go any further.
Read recent reviews, and read them closely
A star rating tells you very little by itself. Look at how many reviews there are, how recent they are, and where they were posted, and check more than one site, such as Google, Zillow and Realtor.com. Read a handful in full. The useful ones describe what the agent actually did, such as how they handled an inspection problem or a tight deadline.
Look at recent sales near you
You want proof that the agent works in your part of the market. Ask for a short list of recent sales in Sun City Grand, with the address, whether they represented the buyer or the seller, and how long each home took to sell. You can also search sold homes on public listing sites and see which agents appear most often. A sales total can include other people on a team, so ask what the agent personally handled.
Ask who the brokerage and designated broker are
In Arizona an agent works under a brokerage, and the designated broker is responsible for the agents who work there. Ask for the name of both, and ask who you should contact if you ever have a concern about the agent. The brokerage name and the broker should match the state record you looked up.
Talk with two or three agents
A short interview shows you how each person works. Ask each agent the same questions, take notes, and compare the answers once you have talked to all of them. Pay attention to who listens, who asks about your plans before talking about themselves, and who gives you straight answers about price and timing.
Ask to speak with a recent client
A reference from someone who bought or sold recently is worth more than any list. Ask for a client in a situation like yours, such as an out of state seller or a first purchase in an age restricted community. When you speak with them, ask how the agent communicated, whether anything went wrong, and how it was handled.
Buying or selling, what matters most
If you are buying
You want an agent who knows the neighborhoods and floor plans, can explain the HOA documents before you make an offer, and will tell you plainly what a home is worth. Homes that are under contract still show online, so ask the agent which homes are really available. For a view of what is for sale and how prices break down, see our Sun City Grand housing market numbers.
If you are selling
You want a clear pricing plan, a marketing plan you can see in writing, and honest advice about preparing the home. Ask how the agent will price against similar homes and how long they expect the sale to take. If you live in another state, ask how the agent handles showings, paperwork and closing without you being present.
Questions to ask in a first conversation
The first conversation is your best chance to see how an agent works. You do not need a long script. A handful of good questions, asked the same way to every agent, will show you who knows Sun City Grand and who is only saying the right things.
Ask about the community
Start with how well the agent knows the different neighborhoods and floor plans in Sun City Grand. A good answer includes specific examples, such as how two floor plans differ or why one street is quieter than another, and not just a general description of the community. Then ask how many homes the agent has sold in Sun City Grand in the last two years. A direct number is better than a vague answer, and you can compare it with what you found when you checked their recent sales.
Ask about price and money
If you are selling, ask how they would price your home and why. Listen for recent comparable sales and a clear reason, not only a number. If you are buying, ask how they decide what a fair offer is. Then ask what their fees are and what those fees cover, and ask for the answer in writing.
Ask about working together
Ask how often you will talk and how the agent prefers to reach you, because the answer should match what you want. If you will be out of state during the sale or purchase, ask what happens then, including video tours, electronic signing and remote closings. Finally, ask whether you can speak with a past client.
Important notice about this list
This page is the opinion of the publisher of dhrealtor.com and is provided for general information only. It is not an independent ranking, a rating, a recommendation or an endorsement of any agent or company, and it is not advice about whom to hire.
Disclosure of interest. Deah Hendriksz is the publisher of this website and a Realtor with Realty ONE Group. She is listed first because the website is hers. Readers should not treat that placement as an independent finding. No agent paid for a place on this list. One of the other agents named here, Amy Barnett, is also listed with Realty ONE Group.
The other four agents are the first four shown on HomeLight's October 2026 list for Sun City Grand, in the order HomeLight shows them, and the details about them come from their public HomeLight profiles as viewed on October 26, 2026. We did not verify that information, and the details cover all areas and not only Sun City Grand. Ratings, review counts, experience, brokerages and the order on the list change over time. Names and company names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the people and businesses.
There are many other capable agents in Sun City Grand who are not named here. Being left off this list says nothing about an agent. Please do your own research, check each agent's license with the Arizona Department of Real Estate, and choose the person who is right for you. We make no promise about the results any agent will get.
If you are an agent named here and want a correction or want your name removed, please contact us and we will respond promptly. This page is not legal, financial or tax advice. Deah Hendriksz and Realty ONE Group support equal housing opportunity, and every agent should treat every buyer and seller fairly under fair housing law.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions

Where did the other four agents come from?

Did anyone pay to be on this list?
No. No agent paid for a place on this list. Deah Hendriksz is the publisher of this website and is listed first because it is her site.
How do I check that a Realtor is licensed?
